The Safety & Quality Trainer/Auditor is responsible for training the workforce on federal and customer gas standards and safety and quality procedures, to include OSHA, DOT and company regulations. This position will continue to build and further enhance the training program in the area. The Safety & Quality Trainer/Auditor will also conduct field Safety & Quality audits providing feedback to the area management team on observations made in the field.

Responsibilities
  • Facilitate New Hire Orientation Training
  • Conduct training on Northeast Gas Association Operator Qualifications, Energy World Net Operator Qualifications, OSHA 10, 30 and Competent Person and local One Call Laws
  • Conduct and oversee all hands on training to include pipe joining
  • Further develop and train internal NPL training programs
  • Ensure the area is up to date with training needs and qualifications
  • Oversee and maintain all training records and documentation
  • Participate in Area Safety Committee
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or requested
Education, Skills, Experience Needed
  • High school Diploma or GED
  • Knowledge and experience teaching and training Northeast Gas Association Operator Qualifications preferred
  • OSHA 30 Construction Safety and Health Certification
  • Minimum 10 Years of Traffic Control experience preferred
  • Previous New Hire Orientation and ATSSA Training experience a plus
Working Environment
  • Work is performed in a typical indoor office environment
  • Flexibility to work various schedules and stay late when necessary with little or no notice
  • Must be able to read documents, use a computer, communicate verbally and in writing
  • Mobility required within an office, warehouse and construction site environments
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 20 pounds
Requirements
  • Pass pre-employment, random, post-accident, and reasonable suspicion drug screens
  • Provide valid US work authorization documents for E-Verify
  • Satisfactory results of pre-employment background check results
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
