Natural Gas Service Technicians are integral members of our Construction Crews. You will service, repair, maintain, install and trouble-shoot Natural Gas lines and Equipment.

  • Repair, maintain, install, and trouble-shoot problems concerning natural gas
  • Relight residential customer gas service; perform hot changes
  • Prepare work orders and other necessary paperwork
  • Ensure proper maintenance is conducted for all tools, equipment and vehicles
  • Attend safety meetings
  • Other duties as assigned by the Foreman or Supervisor

Education, Skills, Experience Needed

  • 2 years HVAC / Service Tech Experience
  • Must possess Mechanical I Certificate
  • Hands-on experience or strong familiarity with Natural Gas Handling Equipment
  • Ability to work independently to efficiently manage the assigned customers’ requests
  • Excellent communication, time management and organizational skills
  • Must be able to work in a demanding environment, and enjoy learning new concepts and products
  • Strong problem-solving ability, particularly relevant in managing customer concerns

Working Environment

  • Work sites are outdoors in potentially extreme weather conditions
  • All worksite safety instructions are written and spoken in English; must be fluent in English
  • Work includes prolonged and repeated: lifting (including overhead, up to 50lbs); standing; climbing; kneeling; reaching and feeling; crouching and crawling
  • Flexibility to work various schedules and stay late when necessary with little or no notice
  • Work is performed within the “red zone” of heavy equipment
  • Working safely requires quick/accurate hand-eye coordination


  • Pass pre-employment, random, post-accident, and reasonable suspicion drug screens
  • Provide valid US work authorization documents for E-Verify
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
  • Pre-employment medical fit-for-duty test; hold/obtain DOT medical card
  • Satisfactory results of pre-employment background check results
  • Must be able to pass NPL Service Tech Training Program and customer required
  • Join and maintain Union membership
